About Sandra Hawkins-Heitt, PsyD
Sandra Hawkins-Heitt, PsyD received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Bard College in Annandale-on –Hudson New York. Following that she was admitted to the doctoral program at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology – Chicago where she earned a dual doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and Health Psychology.
Dr. Hawkins-Heitt sought assessment and therapeutic training in areas related to both adults and children with a specialized focus in neuropsychology. She has worked with clients in hospital, school, rehabilitation and private practice settings including Children’s Memorial Medical Center in Chicago, The University of Chicago, The Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, DuPont Children’s Hospital of Wilmington, and The Maryland School for the Blind. She has taught at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and has been on the faculty of Johns Hopkins University. She has worked in private practice since 1999 establishing her own practice/business in 2006. Dr. Hawkins-Heitt has also worked in the field of forensic neuropsychology since 2004.
